Education Department Launches New Website
LITTLE ROCK—Public engagement and communication are major areas of focus for the Arkansas Department of Education. In an effort to keep our many audiences up to date on the work of the Department and services and resources available to schools and school districts, we undertook a redesign of our website.
Six months in development, the site has a new layout, color scheme and navigation system. The website http://arkansased.org was redesigned with the viewer in mind. The site opens the cyber doors of the Department and is visually appealing, easy to navigate, interesting and informative.
“We’re very excited about the new features and access to information this site provides our users,” said Commissioner of Education Dr. Tom Kimbrell. “This is another step in our goal to meet the needs of students, educators, parents and citizens.”
The redesigned site provides an upgraded search engine and newly designed links to other agency-related sites. The site’s new homepage features photographs and graphics that highlight ADE programs, events and initiatives; a descriptive calendar of events; and a new section, “Most Asked Questions.”
