High school art students can show off best work

Student artists can have their portfolios reviewed by representatives of universities and art schools when the Arkansas Department of Education and the Arkansas Art Education Association jointly sponsor the 27th Portfolio Day Review on Saturday, November 13. Teachers, students and parents are invited to attend the event, which will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Parkview High School, located at 2501 John Barrow Road in Little Rock.

The purpose of the review is to bring together highly interested and talented art students with representatives of different universities and art schools. The representatives will review the portfolios individually and are encouraged to give informal critiques of student work. Students will also be furnished scholarship information and literature about each school. Students are advised to limit the number of pieces of art work in their portfolios to six.
